Alamora
Cookies and local storage
Every cookie and browser key Alamora sets, what the game frames set on their own, and the control that reopens the advertising consent dialog.
The short version
Alamora sets one cookie of its own, and only once you sign in. Everything else it keeps in your browser is two local-storage keys holding interface preferences. Advertising cookies appear only where advertising is switched on, and the game frames set their own, which we can neither see nor clear.
What Alamora sets
| Name | Kind | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| session cookie | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. Without it every page load would be a stranger. A signed-out visitor is not given one, and playing a game does not require one. | Until it expires or you sign out |
alamora-settings-v1 | Local storage | Theme, interface motion, sounds, and whether Alie is chatty. Read before the first frame is painted, which is earlier than any server round trip could answer — that is why it is here and not only on the server. | Until you clear site data |
alamora-splash-v1 | Session storage | Marks that this tab has already seen the boot animation. | Until the tab closes |
There is no analytics cookie. If error reporting is configured on a deployment, crash reports are sent to Sentry when something actually breaks; that is a report, not a tracker, and it does not follow you between sites.
Advertising
Where advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and Google’s Funding Choices consent platform set and read cookies and similar identifiers in your browser, from googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net and fundingchoicesmessages.google.com. They are used to select and measure ads and, where you have allowed it, to personalise them. Privacy lists the vendors and links to Google’s own descriptions of what it collects.
In the EEA and the UK, the consent dialog appears before personalised advertising is served. You can change or withdraw that answer at any time:
The game frames set their own
A game runs in a frame served from its publisher’s domain — play.famobi.com or html5.gamemonetize.co. That document is not ours: it can set its own cookies and storage for saves, settings and its own advertising, and those are readable and clearable only by the publisher and by you. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser will affect them, and may affect whether a game remembers your progress. The consent button above does not reach inside those frames.
Turning things off yourself
Every browser can block or clear cookies and site data, usually under privacy settings, and clearing Alamora’s site data will also remove the two local-storage keys above. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie will sign you out and keep you out; browsing and playing will still work.
